I'm a first-generation Asian American with a deep connection to my heritage. My wife, Prema, and I have been happily married for over 20 years, raising two accomplished children who are studying at Green Hope High School and the University of North Carolina. Morrisville, NC has been our cherished hometown for the past 14 years, where we have embraced the community wholeheartedly.
Coming from an agricultural family background in India, I developed a profound appreciation for the environment and education, which drives my passion in all aspects of life. After immigrating to the United States in 2004, we lived in New York and Illinois before finding our true home in North Carolina in 2009. Over my 25-year career in Information Technology, I've had the privilege of working with industry leaders such as Cisco, IBM, Lenovo, and Truist Bank (heritage BB&T, SunTrust). As a serial entrepreneur, I've contributed significantly to the success of several Fortune 500 companies.
Currently, I serve as the Vice President of Cloud Operations at Truist Bank, where I leverage my extensive IT background to drive innovation and efficiency. I'm grateful for the opportunities that have shaped my journey and I'm committed to making meaningful contributions both professionally and personally.
‘Community Service’ is my mantra. I have taken every opportunity to serve our neighborhoods, communities and town. I have been actively serving in the Morrisville Smart City Committee, COVID-19 relief and various community volunteering activities. I served as a Wexford Community HOA board member and enabled family engagement and collaboration in improving the community.
As a Morrisville Smart City Steering Committee advisory member for the last four years including chairing the board this year, I actively contributed in implementing the Smart Shuttle project. I initiated the SMB (Small Medium Business) outreach program to bring better awareness to individuals and businesses about the available resources from town.
COVID-19 was extremely difficult times for the world and our triangle area. I took up the initiative to provide covid relief to communities here and back in India. I led and established the Oxygen Plant Project for Rural Hospital to help economically challenged families and extended the facility to new-born children and mothers who needed care. I also coordinated vaccine accessibility through mobile hospitals for over 5000 people.
I am a passionate family man dedicated to making a positive impact for our community and future generations. My goal is to make Morrisville a safe, vibrant town through active community engagement. "Empowering Morrisville: Together We Thrive".
